I’ve heard these types of shifts called scooter dresses or stewardess dresses. I like how mod they are. This was a new, retro-styled find from JC Penney. It’s super simple to wear and looks great layered under a cardigan on cooler days.
The Rosette bag is a Valentino-style purse but I paid a street market price. It’s a vinyl snap purse with a chain handle and optional shoulder strap that I bought in Florida. My mom got one in yellow. I carried mine when I wore houndstooth a few weeks ago. This time I worked the pop of pink in with the teal, black and gray of the color-blocked dress.
I like having one piece in a contrasting color. What are your favorite accent colors?

I’m obsessed with peacock blue and teal as accents at the moment. Great dress.
It’s a good accent. I don’t think of it often but I’ll try to work it into more outfits.
