Taking a Walk on the Wild Side

Here’s a look-at-me dress. It’s neutral, not bright, but animal prints are definitely bold, no matter what their hue.

Dress: Marshall’s
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik
Purse: Crystalyn Kae
Cuff: Lauren Harkness

I love animal prints! I also have a snakeskin faux-wrap dress, a grey-tone leopard print shirt dress, and a green and blue leopard print wrap dress. Do I really own four animal print dresses? Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

This one was a steal at Marshall’s and is my first in brown and tan. I scored the shoes at Second Time Around consignment during my trip to Boston. STA is an amazing place. I’ve dreamt of going back to Boston just to hit up their three locations in beantown. If there’s one near you, don’t miss it!

Also, don’t miss Not Dead Yet’s Visible Mondays and ColorBlind’s Thrifters Anonymous, the two link-ups I’m participating in this week.

  1. A beautiful dress, I love it.

  2. I have been to Second Time Around too, in Boston, and loved that place! This dress is a beauty as are the shoes – thanks for sharing your fab look with Visible Monday.

  3. Oh, Jean! You KNOW I love a good animal print!!! I love the v-neck on this and how you paired it with nude heels. Makes your legs look a million miles long! ~Sarah

    • I fell in love with the shoes for that reason. I originally tried them on so I could see how the dresses looked with the right type of shoe. The shoes looked great with everything so I knew I’d get lots of use out of them. They were still about $80 but originally they’d be $600.

  4. Yes, that IS a “look at me” dress, and fortunately you have the figure to carry it off! I love the shoes too…the whole effect is gorgeous.

  5. That dress is the best. Seems animal print is here to stay and I’m glad!
