Monochrome is the new colorblock. I haven’t tried head to toe one-color yet, but I am starting slowly with H2T gray. Not exciting? It can be if the hues are different, the accessories are fun (and maybe, just maybe, you throw in a touch of some other color). Have you tried head-to-toe monochrome yet?

I love the comfort of a maxi skirt but sometimes they hide one’s shape. That’s why I paired this skirt with an asymmetrical top with pleating and buttons. It adds detail and a bit of bodycon-ness (is that a word?).
I’m getting in one last wear with these marigold sandals before I put them away until spring. But with such a neutral outfit, any color shoe would work.
I’m participating in What I Wore Wednesday over at The Pleated Poppy. Have a look at what the others wore.
Love your outfit. I agree, one colour can look great especially if you vary the tones, textures etc.
Thanks for commenting! Yes, tones and textures make all the difference. And fall is a perfect time for that — I’ll try this again with tweed and chunky knits or velvet!
Loving that skirt! It’s true, when the color is monochromatic(and neutral), it draws more attention to the shape, and the person. So lovely! Not to mention the pretty peek of ink!!! ~Sarah
