Gray Maxi Skirt with Stripes and Pink

I almost forgot to write this post. Today is the monthly theme post at Sophistique Noir. There are still a few hours left in the day, so I’m technically not late. This month’s theme: the maxi skirt.

I have a few maxi skirts but the one I like most is this Ivan Grundahl. It’s not the longest skirt I own, but it might be if it weren’t for the ruching and pleating. I like the asymmetrical shape created by all the gathers.

Top: Thrifted
Skirt: Ivan Grundahl
Socks: Sock it to Me
Boots: G by Guess
Cuff: Greenbelts
Earrings: DIY

I’ve worn this skirt a couple of times on this blog. Once with pointy heels, and another time with these same flat boots. I like the dressed up/down effect that the casual boots create.

Check out how all the others styled their maxi skirts.

  1. I like that maxi styled with those boots.

  2. Fabulous skirt! Love it with the striped tights.

  3. I love Ivan Grundahl – just not the prices! However, I think that skirt is totally worth whatever you paid for it!! 😀

    • The good news is this was 70% off so it was definitely worth it. Normally I can’t justify a $450 price tag for a skirt! I found this at a boutique that was closing shop. I do love Ivan Grundahl though!

  4. You look fantastic! Gray goes so well with pink, and the socks and boots makes for a fun, casual look. There are skirts that I think would look silly with these boots, but this shirt looks great with them.

  5. The skirt suits you well, and the blouse, oh my! I absolutely love its colour.

  6. I love the combination of grey and magenta!! And the skirt is amazing, of course. Hmm… once could somewhat recreate that look, although to a far lesser degree of awesome, with a too-long maxi skirt (easy to find for a short girl like me).
