I’ve been hanging onto these pictures for a while (as you can see by the fall foliage), but this outfit works as a good layering “transition” style for spring, so I’ll use it now.
Jacket: Gap via swapped
Sweater: Target
Pants with belt: Macy’s
Socks: Online
Shoes: Zappos
Purse: Crystalyn Kae
I added a pop of color with my sheer-knit sweater and carried it through to the orange argyle socks. Slouchy and fun. I wore it to work because my work environment is really casual. It would be a nice errand-running outfit too. Really comfortable with a “practical heel.”
It’s also a pretty thrifty outfit, with a lot of swapped or on sale items. The sweater was on the clearance rack, and so were the pants.
Do your fall outfits work for spring too or to you change colors, styles and fabrics?
Oh, don’t forget to check out the other posts at Not Dead Yet! I’m joining Visible Monday today.
So great for between-the-seasons. This is how I dress on my casual days, except your shoes are much cuter : > Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
Thanks for commenting! I doubt my shoes are cuter. I see the great footwear you rock! š
I’ve thought that a million times -spring and fall outfits are pretty interchangeable here in the PNW! I usually change up my color palette a little, but overall the ideas work both ways!!! ~Sarah
So true. The weather here is moderate but a bit unpredictable so light layers all year around work well. I’m wearing pastels today though because I have to welcome spring somehow!
This is a sporty, casual look. The socks add a flavour of fun! Love the booties! You look beautiful, whether dressed up or down. Many of my fall outfits are suitable for spring. I’m wearing pink floral skinny jeans today with a pink winter coat! Brrrr still cold in Ontario.
The weather sounds wintery but your colors say spring! And floral too! Patterned denim (especially with flowers) is fresh.
This absolutely works this time of year … love the louche-sweet style of the little scruncy socks, especially.
Thanks for commenting! I thought the socks would be a fun touch.
I had to check this out because I love wearing orange! It’s just one of the colors that looks good on me. Anyway, what a cute outfit! It looks casual, comfortable and yet stylish. I have trouble pulling off all three of those at the same time. It seems that I can either look cute and stylish or be comfortable. I see other women, like yourself, who can manage all three – but it never seems to work for me.
I just heard that “orange is the new neutral” – lol! Its is a lot more versatile than most people realize. I’m glad you like the outfit. It’s tough to balance casual, comfortable, and stylish. I think the key is a slight heel that’s a bit chunky. And a blazer always pulls things together. Thanks for commenting!
I love the sock shoe combo!
Thanks Franca! The socks made this a lot of fun š They seem like something you’d wear too!
